Flip Side Fairy Tales was my first collaboration effort. With other authors and illustrators, I've been able to participate in several dozen full-length, and also shorter projects. It all started in Arizona but people featured on the website: Flip Side Fairy Tales collaborators include illustrators and authors from New York to Oregon, Texas to Utah. It's a labor of love (read -- hardly any money) and also a jubilee of silliness. There's a growing list of items available at Teachers Pay Teachers, too. (Be sure to sort by price to find the free ones.)
My own writing, under the pen name of Anita B Wright, always has a dog in the book and a happy-ending love story. Book one, Backbone, features a basset who helps ruin a teen's online identity, but also saves him. Book two, Balls, shows a Pomeranian who brings together a Physicist in training and the too-good-to-be-true attorney. Book three, Invisible, has a hot guy from another dimension as a cheerleader's imaginary friend -- but of all the people in the school, she'd the only one who can't see him.
For anybody who loves family history, I use an inexpensive process to make high-quality books with family stories inside. CC A to Z, LLC allows you to write your own story (no editing offered) and have it formatted for printing. You can order a simple PDF to print locally, or pay the company for professional production and have books shipped directly to you.
