Linda Chatelain's writing for children technically started as a young mother. During a time her children were spending long hours in the hospital, she began writing short stories to entertain them. The children, her own and others in the ward, would draw what they imagined as she read. Most of these stories were promptly swept up and taken by other parents to share with family and friends. Family changes and obligations took priority for awhile. but she found time to write and share a number of other children's stories. Raising three of her grandchildren, Linda was blessed with the inspiration to write a series of stories about Princess Jelisa, which she is now in the process of illustrating and publishing.
At the prompting of friends and co-workers, Linda wrote a number of self-help (or encouragement) books explaining how she was able to cope with some of the challenges she had been faced with over the years. Three of these are currently available on Amazon.
